NOMINATING PROCEDURE

    The Board of Directors (BOD) and Executive Committee (Exec) positions are up for elections. However, the IT Specialist on the (BOD) and the DAAS Webmaster on the (Exec) have been excluded because of the technical nature of their positions and the need to maintain operational continuity.

    Nomination for any position must observe the following mandatory requirements:

  • The member to be nominated must be on the Registered Voting List.
  • The member nominating must also be on the Registered Voting List.

    You are advised to study the duties and responsibilities of these offices as outlined in the DAAS Bylaws.

    A Registered List of Voters will be published on page da-academy.org/elections05_page3.html. These will be the only members eligible to vote, nominate and be nominated.

    If you are a member in good standing and your name is not on the list, please contact the Webmaster and Nominations Committee immediately.

    The voting procedure will be entirely electronic and include the following steps:

  1. Each voter will be sent an email ballot with the names of nominees for each office
  2. The voter completes and returns it immediately by 'reply' to the Webmaster and Nominations Committee

    If a registered voter does not receive a ballot, it should be reported to the Webmaster and Nominations Committee immediately.
